What a beautiful butterfly you are my love and remember, every butterfly needs its larvae to acknowledge its growth. Every of your past played a dance with the Bisayo—18/05/26

Oh Bisayo, my darling,

I love that you self aware enough to realize that you are in a process where you are becoming more in touch with yourself and why you do certain things.

It’s one thing to go through change and it’s another to be intentional throughout that process. And on this path you’re on, I’m so confident you will come out an even more beautiful butterfly.

Here’s to one of many metamorphosis seasons. Your journey to excellence is only beginning.

I’m rooting for you, star girl❤️

The most honest admission in this piece is discovering that certain preferences were never actually yours but borrowed from what other people approved of. That is a harder thing to sit with than it sounds because it means some version of yourself that felt real was partly a performance without an audience you ever consciously chose. The work of separating what you genuinely like from what simply felt likable is quieter and slower than most growth narratives suggest and this piece is right to treat it that way.
